U8 Rules

Steve:

There was some confusion this past weekend at one of the U8 games regarding rules.

Can you please confirm the U8 rules I have documented in my U8 Parent Guide.

The rules that cause the most confusion (since they are different than the standard adult rules) include the following:

• All free kicks are indirect, with opponents five yards away from the ball.
• No penalty kicks.
• A goal cannot be scored directly from a kick off.
  

I wanted to re-emphasize these rules to all of the U8 coaches. Can you confirm that these are accurate.
